I was playing some crap Squire strat and for certain parts of the song I had the mic basically resting on top of the this fender champion lil 20-watt amp. And, in other parts of the song I had a 35mm cable with an adapter on one end to fit the 1/4 inch line-out so that I could line-in to my laptop's mic input and I had the mic selected audible so that I could hear what I was playing. It was the biggest mess and was so fucking time consuming that I'm amazed I ever settled on a final version.

The percussion is mostly all Andres who had sent me a recording of his drumming that I took it upon myself to isolate both back and break beats from and sort of simulated a drum loop manually in SoundForge 4.5 by pasting and moving the cursor forward and pasting and moving the cursor forward. It's just as tedious and unnerving as it sounds. Again, another miracle it even sound nearly "neat" enough to not pass out laughing at its tiny stature.
